Usually, whenever a country goes to war (cold war included), it tends to deficit spend. In our case, Reagan had the cold war, and he tried to outspend the USSR by spending money on ‘out-of-this-world’ projects like the ‘Star Wars’ program, and it worked. The USSR imploded with the burden of military deficit spending.

In the case of Bush, he has the Iraq war, and the ‘War on Terror’. This is a type of war that is perpetual - as long as terrorism exists, the War on Terror will go on. So, the deficit spending will go on, as long as there is a ‘War on Terror’. And Bush has spent more on war (defense spending) than all the other war presidents combined.

Is it sustainable? No. Should he raise taxes? No. Why should the American people have to pay more taxes if they don’t support the war? And how does one deficit spend? By borrowing money and printing more money out of thin air. When a country deficit spends, the value of it’s currency goes down. When a country prints more money than the assets it holds, also, the value of it’s currency goes down (this is what inflation is). If a person deficit spends like the United States, he would go bankrupt very quickly. The United States, because of it’s political power and military power, and the mighty petro-dollar, has a longer staying power. However, it’s only a matter of time when this incredible power succumbs to the same laws of nature that caused the USSR to implode and crumble.

Initially it can be difficult to see the reasoning behind the RayGun-Bush deficits because Americans don’t like to think of our leaders as being evil…..evil, bought-and-paid-for corporate whores

Biden. 36 years of undistinguished career politics.

McCain in the service of his country his entire adult life. A plethora of legislation named after him. Has more experience crossing the isle and voting with Democrats than Obama has of voting with Democrats.

Sara Palin Elected to Mayor twice. Elected Governor of the State of Alaska for last two years. More executive experience than Obama and Biden combined!

Now that’s a comparison! And anyone who is capable of logical thinking will acknowledge that the McCain/Palin ticket beats the Obama/Biden ticket hands down.

Two: I see that he made a stirring speech about how “there is not a liberal America and a conservative America; there is a United States of America.” How does that square with his joining the CBC? Apparently he believes we _do_ have a white America and a black America?

And I’ve never questioned his experience as much as his mantra.
