Real estate license in Florida?
Alex I asked:
Hello ! I am a Swiss-citizen. We own a real estate agency in the Alps in Switzerland and want to extend our activities in Miami area because already working with a lot of high budget people. I enrolled for a 63-hours course to get a sales associate license. Must I get the license before getting any referral fee from a real estate in Florida ? What is the standard commission agreement with this kind of referral agreement ? Thanks for help.

It would be possible for you to receive a fee today. You must provide proof of your status as a licensed agent in Switzerland. That will be easy.
There is no standard referral fee. You can charge a small amount to make sure the Florida agent works hard. Or you could charge large amounts for buyers or sellers who are ready, willing, and able to complete a sale quickly. Smart agents will want your referrals. They may even compete for your business by lowering their referral fees.

This is not going to work.
You are not awarded a RE license by just passing the test.
You also have to be employed by a broker, and pass a criminal back ground check.
It is illegal to give you a referral fee if you are not a licensed real estate agent.
